Wild and Wonderful Wonders

So I have stepped onto a roller coaster.  What has transpired in the last couple of weeks is nothing short of amazing.  Much to tell but for now, I shall create this Friday's 'Wonders' - "rollercoaster" style.

Writing

Content.  Lots and lots of content.  Scripts. Agenda Outlines.

Reading

Still reading - The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher.  Suddenly I have negative zero time to do any recreational reading.
I am also reading lots and lots of 'how to's' for marketing, etc.

Listening

Today this came on while I was zipping around doing the 482 things.  It is VERY fitting for the current place I find myself in.

Watching

Tons and tons of webinars and online workshops.  That's it!

Thinking

I need to craft my resignation letter.  I will not have a hot minute of down time any time in the next few months.  My to-do lists are growing to-do lists.  All exciting stuff, but trying to do it all is going to pose a challenge.

 Wanting

Honestly, a complete month (or two!!) off so that I can dive into the clean out/purge that has started in my house.  I also need a parallel month so that I can write content, create outlines and branding components without having to squeeze them in between my 'normal' life that has suddenly gotten a tad adventurous and crazy.

Needing

A personal organizer - a personal trainer - a personal assistant - STAT

Looking Forward To

Accomplishing my first workshop
Submitting my resignation letter
Scaling down my life to just what I need, and no more
Living somewhere warm
Watching brilliant sunsets every night, from my balcony

Wearing

A coral long-sleeved t-shirt from Topsail, NC and navy 'comfy' athletic pants

Eating

TRIED to eat some little gluten free wafers but nah - not liking them.

Drinking

Water, like it's my job.  (Temporarily ditched the vino habit, and it is nice.)

Long Time No Wonders

Heeeeyooooo!

My Eldest's favorite expression.  Am I back here, in the hammock?  I don't really know!  I just wandered here and started sifting through old posts.  It is has been a therapeutic time.

I came across this older, more regular post 'Wonders' and decided to shoot a 2018 version out there.

So here goes -

Writing

Of late?  My "history".  More specifically, my marriage history.  It has been needed.

Reading

The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher.  Up Next - Petty: The Biography (About Tom Petty)

Listening

Well this one came up again, but now, under different circumstances.

This time, this one was on repeat, BLASTING through the car and the cold (no heat now in my little convertible), as I wandered through the mountains looking for firewood because my little cabin was so so cold.  And I was squeaking this song out, partly due to the bronchitis holding my lungs and voice captive, and partly due to the streak of tears washing down my face.

And then this one, later that evening, beside the fire that I build, on.my.own.

The original written in 1882 by George Matheson.

Good glory, these words.  I AM an old soul, for how these capture my very breath.  Enthralling.

  1. O Love that will not let me go,
    I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
    May richer, fuller be.
  2. O Light that foll’west all my way,
    I yield my flick’ring torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
    May brighter, fairer be.
  3. O Joy that seekest me through pain,
    I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
    That morn shall tearless be.
  4. O Cross that liftest up my head,
    I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
    Life that shall endless be.

Watching

Nothing - not a tv show I follow still (although I did give Stranger Things about a show and a half), and no movie since 'The Last Jedi', although I am interested in seeing 'The Greatest Showman'.

Thinking

Where do I start?  I'm thinking I really would like to breathe normally without the now too familiar rattle.  I'm thinking time is running out and classes start soon, but this is the LAST semester I will endure.

 Wanting

Pandora's box, right here.

Needing

At the moment, a night's sleep continuous without FREQUENT intermissions of a symphony of hacking.  That'd be great.

Looking Forward To

Breathing (okay, enough already)
The feeling of complete freedom (mixed with a healthy dose of , "What the HECK did I just do???") when I turn in my resignation letter.
What's ahead, whatever it is.
Wearing

Grey, black and tan leggings with a pattern that includes deer....(I don't know, they're comfy), and a fuzzy black shirt.

Eating

Nothing. It is almost 11:00.  Seriously, the bod really doesn't need nourishment when it is about to go into temporary hibernation.

Drinking

Water, like it's my job.  (Temporarily ditched the vino habit, and it is nice.)
