the waves come
hard and unrelenting,
pushing up against my bracing.
I sink my heels in and posit my heart in the waiting.
Lapping quiver of the shore's own rhythm against
my questioning core - I set my sights on You
- the One I feel like a shadow.
The undulating waters pull me further
down, deep and lost in the darkness
of the silence of You,
And the sand surrounds like a wet blanket
after the storm.
I am weighted by You, in the roar of the abyss
and the rush of the waves,
you plunge into the center of my being -
I am lost.
When will I be found.
